Egypt and Tunisia qualify for World Championship in Turkey
Egypt led Pool B with 9 points (from 3-0) ahead of Morocco (6 points from 2-1). The Egyptians and the Tunisians have become the first teams to secure semi-final spots.
Libya secured the second victory in the same pool over South Africa 3-0 (25-17, 25-15, 25-16) to compete for the second spot of the pool in the semi-final.
In pool A Algeria swept Congo Brazzaville 3-0 (25-19, 25-9, 29-27) in a match that ended in a thrilling finish. Rwanda proved their consistency with a straight sets victory (25-19, 25-10, 25-15) over Sierra Leone to stay in competition for a semi-final spot.
By the end of the fourth day, one day before the end of the preliminary round,
Tunisia lead the pool with 9 points from a win loss ratio of 3-0 ahead of both Algeria and Rwanda (6 points from 2-1). Congo Brazzaville came fourth with 3 points from 1-2 and Sierra Leone is placed at the bottom of the pool with zero points from 4 matches.
Pool B is led by Egypt (9 points from 3-0), ahead of Morocco (6 points from 2-1). Libya is placed third (5 points from 2-1) the RD Congo fourth (4 points from 1-2) while South Africa is fifth (zero points from 0-4)
The fifth and last day of the preliminary round will feature 4 matches where Rwanda plays Algeria for a spot in the semi-final in Pool A, which also features Congo Brazzaville against Tunisia. Pool B shows a strong match between Egypt and Libya, while Morocco faces RD Congo.
