FIVB refereeing courses set for 2013

One of the key goals of the FIVB Referee Commission is to see more female referees come through the ranks
Lausanne, Switzerland, February 13, 2013 – The FIVB has scheduled five refereeing courses for 2013 with more likely to be added at a later date.

The FIVB refereeing courses are aimed at keeping officials up-to-date with the rules of volleyball and beach volleyball and also to improve their skills.

Three of the courses are for beach volleyball (Sudan, Philippines and Liechtenstein) and two are for volleyball (Congo and Serbia).

The first course for beach volleyball will be held in Sudan from June 1 to June 6. The other beach volleyball courses will take place from June 17 to 22 (Philippines) and August 7 to 11 (Liechtenstein).

The volleyball refereeing courses will take place from July 12 to 21 (Congo) and July 29 to August 4 (Serbia). 

International Referee Candidate courses and Continental events, as well as refresher courses are held throughout the year in order to help with the development of refereeing skills around the world.
