African U19 qualifier sets Tunisia against Egypt in opener

Rwanda are the newcomers at this year's competition, coming in to face Tunisia, Egypt and Algeria
Setif, Algeria, January 22, 2013 – The drawing of lots for the 2013 Boys Youth African Nations Championship was held on Monday in Setif, Algeria. The four teams that came through the qualifications of their corresponding zones will participate in the round-robin tournament.

The competition acts as a qualifier for the FIVB Boys’ Youth African Nations Championship to be held later this year in Mexico.

Play starts on Tuesday, and the feature match will be between defending champions Tunisia and the runners-up, Egypt, at 15:00 local time in Setif Hall. Tunisia won the last competition in 2010 after beating Egypt 3-2 in a thrilling encounter.

The opening day will also have the hosts, Algeria, battling against newcomers Rwanda at 17:00.
