National Beach Volleyball Championship concludes in Somalia

Somali Volleyball Federation vice-president Mohamed Ibrahim Mumin opened the beach volleyball competition on December 28
Somalia, January 8, 2013 – The recent spate of activities in Somalia continued through the end of 2012 with the sixth National Beach Volleyball Championship held December 28 to 30.

The competition featured six teams fighting for the gold medal, which was finally won by the Horsed team. Dakadaha club took silver while Albeder clinched the bronze.

The championship was hosted by the Somali Volleyball Federation, and opened by Somali Volleyball Federation vice-president Mohamed Ibrahim Mumin. He praised all the players and encouraged them to play their games with heart.

At the end of the competition, the vice-president joined secretary general Mohamed Abubakar in asking the players to do their best to represent their country in the upcoming African championships.
