Gallay/Zonta took their first win for the 2013 international season at the competition in Colombia

Puerto Gaitan, Colombia, January 7, 2013 – London 2012 Olympians Ana Gallay and Virginia Zonta of Argentina made a superb start to 2013 by taking out the Puerto Gaitan beach volleyball international tournament in Colombia on Sunday.

Gallay/Zonta, who finished 19th at the 2012 Olympic Games, were undefeated throughout the tournament, overcoming the experienced host team of Andrea and Claudia Galindo in the final 2-0 (22-20, 21-18).

While Gally/Zonta claimed the women’s title, Uruguay’s Renzo Cairus and Nicolas Zanotta won the men’s tournament by beating Argentina’s Santiago Etchegaray and Pablo Bianchi.
