Two-day refereeing course completed in Somalia

 Mogadishu, Somalia, December 21, 2012 – The Somalia Volleyball Federation concluded a two-day local referee course in the capital, Mogadishu, on December 21. 

The aim of the course was to improve the knowledge and practical aspects of volleyball referees in the east African country. 

At the closing ceremony, first Secretary General of the Somalia Volleyball Federation Mohamed Abubakar Hirei thanked all the course participants and praised the referees for their positive impact during the course. He encouraged them to make fair and impartial decisions and to continue their practice in the future. 

"I hope to see Somalia volleyball referees conducting matches in Zone 5 qualifications," Hirei said. 

At the closing ceremony, Somalia Volleyball Federation President Eng. Abdulkadir Omar Abukar also praised the performance of the referees during the course. He advised them to respect the regulations and wished them all the best for their future in volleyball.
