Peerless stay dominant as they win third straight Peruvian Clausura

The Peerless players celebrate their title
Lausanne, Switzerland, December 30, 2012 – Peerless lived up to their name in the Peruvian Clausura by defeating Flamenco 3-0 (25-18, 25-20, 25-18) and securing their third national titile in a row.

Despite some ups and downs – notably the defeat by the University of Lima, their only loss of the season – the experience and talent of the Peerless players, not to mention their strength in depth, proved an insurmountable obstacle for their opponents.

Captain Cesar Zayers was a strong leader, Luis Soto more devastating than ever, Martin Portillo and Renzo Delgado played at their best, and Hector Cancino, Sandro Obeso and Roger Rengifo all made big contributions.

All in all, the players showed how dedication breeds success – and for three years in a row.

Flamenco finished as runners-up, with Regatas Lima third.
