Lilongwe, Malawi, November 27, 2012 – Five years after the first beach volleyball course to take place in Malawi, the VCP programme has once again returned to the country – as has Austrian FIVB instructor Johann Huber.
Huber said that both the organisation and the skill level of participants have improved. The VCP attracted a total of 14 students.
National federation president Jappie Mhango believes that Malawi must invest more in Beach Volleyball in future, with the objective of becoming a successful participant in the Continental Cup.
Despite serious challenges, such as the chronic shortage of fuel, the federation is working hard to provide the necessities for a successful course. Huber got the theory and practical sessions rolling on Monday.
