FIVB coaches course at Khartoum Development Centre

28 participants, among them two women, are attending the course
Khartoum, Sudan, November 27, 2012 – The Khartoum Development Centre is hosting an FIVB level I coaches course. The sessions were officially opened on November 17 by the director of the Centre, Emad Eldin Osman, in a ceremony attended by various local volleyball officials including the president of the Coaches Commission.

FIVB instructors Fayzal Bundun of Mauritius, the course director, and Bernard J. Denis of Seychelles, the course instructor, are in Khartoum to help make the course a success. Both have conducted courses in Sudan in the past and are very familiar with the local environment.

Twenty-eight participants, including two women, are participating in the course. They include coaches from four different countries – Sudan, South Sudan, Iraq and India – as well as one student who is Sudanese but lives in Germany. The course will end on Wednesday, November 28 with both written and practical examinations. Expectations are high.

Even though outside temperatures are above 40 degrees Celsius, both instructors are satisfied with preparations made by the local organisers.
