Mr Gaisoa attended the most recent FIVB Congress in Anaheim in September

Lausanne, Switzerland, November 15, 2012 – The International Volleyball Federation (FIVB) is saddened to learn of the passing of the president of the American Samoa Volleyball Association, Pio Gaisoa, on November 7.

The American Samoa Volleyball Association is now temporarily under the leadership of vice president Savaliga Lefaoseu. 

A service will be held for Mr Gaisoa, who attended the most recent FIVB Congress in Anaheim in September, on November 16.

The thoughts of the FIVB and the volleyball family are with Mr Gaisoa's wife and children.
