Vanuatu reaching out through Cool Volley programme

Port Vila, Vanuatu, October 23, 2012 – On October 16, More than 100 primary school students at Eton School in Vanuatu participated in a programme to train teachers and students in the rules of Beach Volleyball, and help them learn practical skills and game play.
The FIVB Cool Volley programme was run by the Vanuatu Volleyball Federation (VVF), who have been pushing to introduce beach volleyball to the islands’ rural communities. They hope to build on the success of the Vanuatu women’s beach volleyball team on the FIVB World Tour and to scout for local talent to join the Junior Development Squad.
The VVF has requested more beach volleyballs and equipment from the FIVB in order to continue holding Cool Volley events.
