Chlef, Algeria, October 9, 2012 - The Algerian volleyball federation, FAVA, organised a refresher course for national and international referees held at the National Centre for talent and elite sports in Chlef on September 28 and 29, 2012, ahead of the new 2012-2013 season.
FAVB President Mustapha Lemouchi opened the workshop and welcomed the participating referees during his speech. He congratulated Hassiba Bakour for her success in the evaluation of the international Beach volley referees, which took place in Tunis last July, before also thanking the Referee Commission chairman Mohamed Bentaher.
The course included a theoretical class and practical sessions, followed by a written exam evaluation for the participating referees.
The course was instructed by the former Algerian international referee Farid Djemili, assisted by Mohamed Badr Lazreug. A total of of 68 referees participated, including three women.
