Soloman Islands Cool Volley programme bringing 600 kids together for Volley All Festival

The FIVB is providing materials to support the festival
Honiara, Solomon Islands, October 3, 2012 – Solomon Islands Volleyball is organising a Volley All festival October 5 as part of an ongoing Cool Volley programme under the Solidarity Junior Programme in Gizo, Western Province.

Some 600 children are registered to participate in the festival. The FIVB is supporting the event with Cool Volley materials, balls and nets. Volley All festivals are part of the mass volley concept to trigger change and participation by youth. Particular attention is given to the needs of small island federations within our Volleyball community.

Volley All festivals are designed to help national federations get the sport up and running through grass-root-level involvement and attract young people to the game at an early stage. More information is available on the FIVB’s designated Cool Volley website.
