Iran prepares for World League qualifier against Japan

 
The Japan delegation was welcomed to Tehran on Thursday
 
 Tehran, Iran, September 6, 2012 – The Iran Volleyball Federation will host the second round of the 2013 FIVB World League qualification tournament this weekend when Iran faces Japan. The winner of the two-match series will secure a berth in next year’s World League.

Dr. Mohammad Reza Davarzani , the President of the Iran Volleyball Federation greeted the FIVB supervisor and officials and conducted an inspection of the arena. This was followed by a meeting of local organizing officials.

The Japan delegation, consisting of 12 players and six officials, arrived on Thursday.

Later on Thursday, a refereeing clinic for all participants was held at the headquarters of the Iran Volleyball Federation. This was followed by the general technical meeting with the organizing committee members, the teams and referees.
