The five-day course in Kigali was eagerly met by participants looking to develop their knowledge and help spread the game

Kigali, Rwanda, August 14, 2012 – A total of 28 teachers, most from primary schools, travelled to Kigali, the capital of Rwanda, from across the country to attend the FIVB Volleyball Cooperation Programme (VCP) course for teachers. Sessions began in good conditions on Monday.

The five-day course is being well received by participants looking to develop their knowledge and help spread the game of volleyball in their country.

The president of the Botswana Volleyball Federation established a Long Term Development Plan in 2009. He expressed his thanks to the FIVB for their support and hopes that this course will further contribute to the game’s development in his country.

The opening ceremony was attended by Buging Emmanuel, sports director at the Ministry of Sports and Culture, Rwigema Paterne, representative of the Ministry of National Education, Gatete Innocent, president of the National Federation of School Sports, and Rwanda Volleyball Federation president Charles Uyiseng.
