Serbia coach Igor Kolakovic: “We went into the game quite badly”

Igor Koalkovic, Serbia coach

London, Great Britain, August 6, 2012 - Serbia coach Igor Kolakovic was upset at the end of the match lost 3-0 against Russia. “We went into the game quite badly. When the Russians took the lead at the beginning of each set, it was very difficult to come back. There were two games that we could have played better: those against USA and Russia. Against Germany, it was only a couple of points that decided the match. But we really missed the opportunity to play those matches (USA and Russia) better.”

Russia Maxim Mikhaylov wasn’t so sure to have been playing a 3-0 match: “It's the Olympics, so every match is fought quite hard, so even when the score is 3-0, we still had to fight quite hard for every point. (For the next match:) We don't know who we will play yet. We will focus on our mistakes, and see what happens.”
