London, Great Britain, August 3, 2012 – “It was ok” said Brazilian Leandro Vissotto after the game with Serbia. “We didn’t play well today, we made too many mistakes. We’re happy, but we know it’s important. Next round (quarterfinals) we maybe have not so strong teams if you finish first or second (in pool B)”. “Emotions are very important (in a match). We risked to lose 3-0, but we showed that we are able to improve. We did well on a technical level. Serbia are a dangerous team, they were able to give us pressure. Now we have to think about Germany (on Monday, 6 August). I am not sure what is our position in the pool. We will prepare and adjust what needs to be fixed. Going into the quartefinals in second or third position from our pool does not make much difference, because the match-ups will be decided by a draw. We are prepared for the worst scenario” added wing spiker Dante Amaral.
“We’re not disappointed. We played good. It was a good game. A little late though” stressed Serbian Nikola Kovacevic. As for the chances of his team to make it to the 1/4 finals he said: “We must win against Russia and I don't know if one point is enough (for losing in five sets), I don't know”.
