Congratulations for a great venue and great event - Pottharst

Tamsin Hinchley and Natalie Cook went down in three sets to the Schwaiger sisters on Monday

London, Great Britain, July 31, 2012 - Sydney Olympic champion Kerri Pottharst says the toughest quadriennial beach volleyball competition in the world is only going to get better as it continues through pool play towards the sudden death phase.

Speaking in her latest blog, Pottharst, who won 2000 gold and a bornze medal in 1996 with Natalie Cook, says all the 3-1 matches is a reflection of the high quality of matches and sympathises with her former partner who lost to Austria's Schwaiger sisters after having three match points in the second set.
