China upset won't be the last - Pottharst

Beijing bronze medallists Zhang Xi and Chen Xue lost the opening match of the tournament in three sets

London, Great Britain, July 28, 2012 - Sydney 200 champion Kerri Pottharst says the opening match defeat of the Beijing bronze medallists Zhang Xi and Chen Xue will be the first of many suprise results at the beach volleyball competition at the London 2012 Olympic Games at Horse Guards Parade.

In her latest FIVB blog, Pottharst says however this doesn't mean the Beijing bronze medallists are out of gold medal contention as the likes of Todd Rogers and Phil Dalhausser in 2008 and herself and Nat Cook also lost matches on the way to becoming Olympic champions.
