World Grand Prix continues to excite

USA attack as they take victory on Sunday evening

Lausanne, Switzerland, June 17, 2012 – China and USA kept their unbeaten streak alive on Sunday as they finished the day unbeaten in the FIVB Volleyball World Grand Prix.

China picked up a straight-sets (25-19, 25-17, 29-27) win while USA defeated Brazil (20-25, 25-18, 25-18, 25-20)

Meanwhile the Dominican Republic beat Puerto Rico, Chinese Taipei beat Korea, Japan beat Thailand, China beat Poland, Serbia beat Turkey, Brazil beat USA, Argentina v Cuba and Germany v Italy.

“It was a really tough match. We played in an amazing atmosphere and Brazil was great in defence, which made the match really difficult for us," USA coach Hugh McCutcheon said "I am glad as my team played focused and did what we had agreed even in this unique atmosphere."
