Belgrade, Serbia, June 17, 2012 – Turkey were happy with their win over Serbia on Sunday as they finished the weekend on a high.

Esra Gumus, team captain of Turkey:

- We are happy for the three victories in this tournament. Today we played against a good team. We had some problems, especially in reception, Serbian block was very high so we needed to find a way around, with high balls primarily, but overall I can say that this was a good day for us.

Maja Ognjenovic, team captain of Serbia:

- It is hard to come back from yesterday’s loss. Today we played better, but it is still far from our real capabilities. However, I think we are on a right track, and I hope we will improve in the following weeks.

Marco Motta, head coach of Turkey:

- I think we always have some quality matches, and it is a good rivalry. Technically, both teams are not on a very satisfying level, but this time I think that physically we are in better shape than Serbia. We have to improve before the Olympics, but overall I think it was a good match.

Zoran Terzic, head coach of Serbia:

- Congratulations to Turkey for everything they showed in this tournament. We played like we did in Poland, we showed the best game in the third match, except we didn’t win this time. The biggest problem for us, however, isn’t our game, but injuries that are accumulating. Now Stefana Veljkovic is out, probably for the Olympics as well. It will be very hard to assemble the roster of 12 healthy players.
