Cubans disappointed, Motta not happy with second set

Esra Gumus, Trukey captan and Marco Aurelio Motta, Turkey coach in the mixed zone after the match against Cuba

Belgrade, Serbia, June 15, 2012 - Turkey coach Marco Motta said his side's second set against Cuba was poor, despite sealing the win.

Esra Gumus Turkey captain: "Overall we played good, we served well, won the first set fairly easily. In the second set we lacked reception and our service game was not functioning. But after that we adjusted our tactics and won 3-1. I am happy with this victory."

Silie Frometa Cuba captain: "Today we made lots of errors, especially receiving and serving. I hope that tomorrow we will do better."

Marco Motta Turkey coach: "We have some ups and downs during the match, especially in the second set. I think in this moment my team is not at 100%, but I am glad that we managed to fix some situations along the way and ultimately win."

Gala Rodriguez Juan Cuba coach: "I am not happy, my team made lots of errors in this match. In crucial moments we couldn’t deal with the pressure. Congratulations to Turkey, who is one of the best teams in Europe."
