Germany's women line up ahead of 2019 VNL

 
Germany has named 26 players who begin preparation for the 2019 FIVB Women's Volleyball Nations League on 29 April in Heidelberg.
 
Lausanne, Switzerland, April 11, 2019 - Twenty-six players have been selected on the wide roster of Germany ahead of the 2019 FIVB Women's Volleyball Nations League and begin their preparation under national coach Felix Koslowski at Heidelberg on April 29.

Amongst the more seasoned players, the list includes eleven players with no international experience.

Germany will take part in the pre-season Montreux Volley Masters international tourament from May 13 to 18, before heading to Opole for the opening week of pool play from May 21 to 23 against hosts Poland, Italy and Thailand.



Germany will also be organising a pool of their own in the Preliminary Round of the VNL, when they host the Netherlands, Belgium and the Dominican Republic from June 11 to 13 in Stuttgart's Porsche Arena.

Players who have already completed their club obligations will gather in Heidelberg on April 29, with the rest joining their group as they become available. The team will train in Heidelberg and continue in Lausanne from May 10 to 12 before continuing to Montreux.


Felix Koslowski: "I look forward to the start of the Volleyball Nations League."

"I'm looking forward to the season and we're going to test new players who can move up and prove themselves to the national team," said Koslowski.

"We are still in a state of flux," continued the 35-year-old National Team head coach. "It will be our first summer without Maren Fromm. All the more I look forward to the Montreux Masters and the start of the Volleyball Nations League as well as the home game in Stuttgart, where every player can prove herself."
