Turkey’s Roadshow Volleyball completes 6,556km journey

TVF's Roadshow Volleyball travelled 6,556km across Turkey
Samsun, Turkey, August 25, 2014 - The Turkish Volleyball Federation and the Turkish Olympic Committee’s project Roadshow Volleyball, which aimed to educate youth setup trainers and physical education teachers for free, has completed its 6,556km journey.

The project started in Mersin on July 17 and after stops at Malatya, ?anliurfa, Sakarya, Bursa, Mugla, Tekirdag and Artvin, reached its final destination in Samsun on August 17.

The free Roadshow Volleyball seminars were given by FIVB instructors Athanasios Papageorgiou and Cengiz Akarcesme, who made a 6,556km trip across Turkey and spoke to 852 people across the country. Youth setup trainers and physical education teachers attended classes on a variety of subjects, from the general preparation of matches, with and without a ball, to specific preparation games and different ways of teaching volleyball, using mini volleyball, midi volleyball, introducing six versus six matches and different coordination and anticipation exercises.
