Grzegorz Rys to speak about talent development during World Championship

Grzegorz Rys is highly respected in the field of volleyball talent development and will definitely be a source of inspiration for the course participants
Copenhagen, Denmark, August 14, 2014 - The FIVB/CEV Regional Volleyball Centre in Copenhagen has confirmed its speaker for its second international coaching seminar, which will turn around an educational trip to the FIVB Volleyball Men’s World Championship Poland 2014 from September 4-8.

The speaker is none other than Grzegorz Rys from Poland.  He is a member of the CEV Coaches Commission, who has just concluded a two-year contract as head coach of the United Arab Emirates’ men’s national team.

Grzegorz Rys has agreed to present an exciting lecture about how to transfer young talent developed in a club environment to a world class national team “the Polish way”.  There is no doubt the participants of the seminar have a great deal to look forward to on an inspirational and educational trip to the World Championship in Poland.

”I think it is quite a scoop that Grzegorz Rys will speak at the inspirational seminar. His coaching career with a Junior World Championship gold medal and Youth European Championship silver medal speaks for itself,” said Sven Brix, Elite Director of the Danish Volleyball Federation.  “Grzegorz Rys is highly respected in the field of volleyball talent development and will definitely be a source of inspiration for the course participants.”

Seminars will be held on each morning of the trip, with the afternoon scheduled planned around observing live World Championship matches in Katowice, where the reigning world champions Brazil will play.

The former head coach of Finland’s men’s national team and current Sports Director of the Finnish Volleyball Federation, Antti Paananen, will also be giving a lecture at the RVDC Coaches Seminar in Poland. Antti Paananen has played a big part in the explosive development of Finnish men’s volleyball in recent years.
