Participants hail success of Cool Volley Festival in Afghanistan

Bazarak, Afghanistan, August 13, 2014 - Bazarak primary school in the Panjshir  province in Afghanistan was the setting for a Cool Volley Festival on August 7, which saw 450 boys and 200 girls participate in a day of volleyball.

The boys and girls participating in the Cool Volley Festival were delighted to practice their skills. They were also thankful for the balls, Cool Volley t-shirts, handbooks and mini nets provided by the Afghanistan Volleyball Federation (AVF) and the FIVB, who provided support for the implementation of the event.

The festival participants were joined by representatives from the Afghanistan Volleyball Federation, including President Dr. Popalzay, the national girls' team head coach and members of the national team. Dr. Popalzay encouraged the participants to enjoy playing volleyball and pointed out that tbe future belongs to today's young players, who will be Afghanistan's volleyball stars of tomorrow.

Gifts were distributed to the participants at the end of the day, bringing an end to the Cool Volley Festival in Bazarak.
