Albania hosts CEV Youth Beach Volleyball Summer Festival
Different age groups were organised, and tournaments were held for U12, U14, U16, and U18 players representing different cities from across Albania, but also from neighbouring countries. The first matches were played at 9 am and the play continued all the way through to 10 pm giving the participants ample time to enjoy the day.
Upon completion of the tournament, Secretary General of the Albanian Volleyball Federation Mr Leonard Tase said: “It was a great experience for all of us and especially for these young boys and girls who are just fond of volleyball and got to discover beach volleyball as well. We would like to thank the CEV for their support and assistance in the organisation of this festival. We want to follow this first action with more events of the same calibre, especially after the terrific success of this inaugural Youth Summer Festival. After assessing the outcome of this tournament and looking at the great participation of our youngsters, we are confident that the future of beach volleyball here in Albania looks as bright as ever.”
