Kenya, Uganda and Egypt through to FIVB Beach Volleyball U19 World Championships

Kampala, Uganda May 26, 2014 - Kenya, Uganda and Egypt boys have booked their tickets to the U19 Beach Volleyball World championship in Porto, Portugal from July 29 to August 3 while Namibia and Uganda will represent the continent in the girls’ competition following the 2014 CAVB U19 Beach Cup held at Lido Beach in Entebbe, Uganda from May 22 to 25.

Kenya collected three victories in the boy’s competition beating Egypt 2-0 (21-17, 21-12) in their first match, hosts Uganda 2-0 (22-20, 21-16) in the second and finally Namibia 2-0 (21-18, 21-12) in the last match.

Uganda came second with two victories ahead of Egypt who won the bronze medal.

In the girls’ competition Uganda played Namibia twice, as the latter won both matches but both secured their tickets to the finals of the World championships.
