Osaka hosts FIVB Referee Delegate Seminar
The seminar started on May 1 and will finish on May 4.
The seminar is running under the leadership of FIVB Vice-President Andre Meyer, FIVB Refereeing Commission President Hassan Mohamed, FIVB Refereeing Commission Secretary Sergey Titov and nine participants from the Refereeing Commission and the Rule of the Games Commission.
The purpose of the seminar is to train and learn about the duties of a Referee Delegate at official FIVB competitions, using the All-Japan men’s and women’s competitions as an example. The Japan Volleyball Association worked very hard in order to make this seminar a big success.
Mornings at the seminar consist of lectures regarding the duties and responsibilities of Referee Delegates before, during and after competition; how to fill out an E-R4 form; and how to fill out and complete RD reports, statistics and other duties.
In the afternoon, each participant works as a Referee Delegate for one match and the Referee Delegates report on their matches (match R-4 computer presentation with explanations) after the match.
