San Fernando, Trinidad, April 29, 2014 - The Trinidad & Tobago Volleyball Federation in collaboration with the Federation Internationale de Volleyball is currently conducting an International Level 1 Coaching Course at the Corinth Campus of the University of Trinidad and Tobago.

The course being lead by FIVB Instructors Tony Westman of Sweden and Gordon Mayforth of United States, began on April 24 and continues until May 3.

Fourteen (14) participants are enrolled in the course; thirteen (13) local participants and one (1) regional participant from Jamaica.

Asked why they wanted to be a part of this Level 1 Coaching Course the general response from the participants were as follows:

To further develop themselves as coaches, to gain knowledge and expertise in the sport, and to share what was learnt to the players that they would eventually coach.

The consensus of the participants is that they look forward to learning and of course becoming certified as FIVB coaches.
