FIVB puts on first course in Micronesia in 15 years

Students pay attention in class at the Coaches Course in Micronesia
Lausanne, Switzerland, April 15, 2014 – The Federated States of Micronesia Volleyball Association hosted a VCP Coaches Level I Course from March 28 to April 4 in the capital Yap.

It was the first FIVB course in the Federated States of Micronesia in 15 years and reflects the FIVB’s desire to be more active in the Oceania region. The FIVB is currently executing courses with many of the smallest islands in the world.

The program was run by Thai instructor Jaksuwan Tocharoen.

The 17 men and four women who took part in the course were all from the host country. Their good motivation and hard work brought a successful conclusion to the programme, with all the participants passing the exam.

The course went very smoothly, thanks to the great preparation of the National Federation and its President Lucinda Kamloy.

The instructor recommended running a VCP Young Players programme next year because of the number of young people taking part in the various championships there.
