Qatar holds FIVB Beach Volleyball Referee Course
Doha, Qatar, March 24, 2014 - An eleven-day FIVB Beach Volleyball Referee Course, which began on March 9, came to a successful end with all 25 participants passing the course.
The successful candidates received their certificates from Mr. Khalid Ali Al-Mawlawi, President of the Qatar Volleyball Association and Mohamed Ali Al-Mohannadi, General Secretary of the Qatar Volleyball Association and Chairman of QVA Beach Volleyball Commission at the closing ceremony in the Qatar Beach Volleyball Academy last Wednesday.
The course, led by FIVB Referee Instructor Mr. Hassan Najen and FIVB International Referee Mr. Ahmed Hussein, focused on the Rules of the Game and the latest amendments, modifications and new FIVB rules to be tested during the age-group World Championships this year.
In his short speech at the closing ceremony, Mr.
Al-Mawlawi praised the two instructors and congratulated all the course participants
for completing the course successfully.
The beach volleyball teams of Russia, who were in training at the Qatar Beach Volleyball Academy also participated in the practical demonstrations during the course.
