Bangladesh shows commitment to volleyball development with Level II Coaches Course

The course was organised in collaboration with the FIVB and Olympic Solidarity

Dhaka, Bangladesh, March 19, 2014 – The Bangladesh Volleyball Federation conducted a Level II Coaches Course from February 25 to March 9, following on from the Level I course conducted at the beginning of February.

A total of 13 men and two women took part in the Level II course with participants from the host country and Nepal.

The Federation’s current leaders are keen and motivated to take volleyball to the next stage of development in the country. The courses are an important component of the overall strategy which aim to educate and train as many new coaches as possible to work at the community and national levels in Bangladesh.

The level II course requires participants to have considerable practical knowledge of the game and more experience than coaches enrolled in the previous level, which was more targeted to individuals at the start of their career.

Participants received considerable amount of practical instruction on the following: modern volleyball techniques, advanced tactics, physical preparation and management of the team on court.
