First SNA meeting of 2014 held at FEVA Headquarters

 

Buenos Aires, Argentina, March 17, 2014 - The President of the Argentine Volleyball Federation, Juan Antonio Gutierrez together with Rodolfo Rezzoagli, National Referee Secretary opened the first annual meeting of the National Refereeing Secretariat (SNA) on Saturday in the presence of referee delegates from all over the country.

Gutierrez welcomed officials and encouraged referees to work towards the international growth of all Argentine referees, with the 2016 Olympic Games in Rio as the first goal. The aim of the SNA is to increase the international presence of Argentine volleyball authorities at world events and representation at the International Volleyball Federation and at the South American Confederation.

“It flatters me to be here today and I congratulate all of you on the wonderful job you are carrying out,” said Gutierrez.


In addition to Juan Antonio Gutierrez (FIVB World League Secretary and member of the Beach Volleyball Commission), also present at the meeting were Juan Angel Pereyra (member of the FIVB Referee Commission), Guillermo Paredes (member of the Rules of the Game Commission), Gabriel Salvia as a representative of the Development Centres, Juan Galeote (South American Technical Commission), Alejandro Bolgeri (CSV Vice-President).

The purpose of the SNA meeting was to provide members with an update of the work carried out during 2013.

The SNA comprises Rodolfo Rezzoagli (National Secretary); Gabriel Garay and Jose Luis Barrios (Coordinators);
delegates Rolando Cholakian (Cordoba), Mauricio Lueje (Buenos Aires Province), Aldolfo Keim (Cuyo); Gustavo Benedetti (NOA); Fernando Romano (Metropolitan - Buenos Aires city); Viviana Marinho-Andres Lucinas (NEA); and Daniel Astrain-Nicolas Casado (Santa Fe).


Guillermo Paredes, one of the top referees in Argentina’s international history was also present. He was on hand to inform participants about the FIVB Rules of the Game along with Damian Pierznianko and Diego David.
