Bidding process open for age-group World Championships in 2015

 
The FIVB introduced the Volleyball U23 World Championships in 2013 for the first time
Lausanne, Switzerland, January 28, 2014 – Countries wishing to host any of the four FIVB Age-Group World Championship tournaments in 2015 can now directly apply to the FIVB Volleyball Events Department. 

The tournaments are: the Women’s and Men’s U23 World Championships; the Men’s U21 World Championship; the Women’s U20 World Championship; the Boys’ U19 World Championship; and the Girls’ U18 World Championship.

The competitions will take place over a period of eight days for the Under-23 tournaments and 10 days for the other Championships, and they should take place between July 1 and August 31 next year.

There will be 12 teams in the U23 tournaments, 16 for the U21 and U20 competitions and 20 for the U19 and U18 championships.

Countries interested in hosting one (or more) of the Championships should contact the FIVB Volleyball Events Department sportsevents@fivb.org by February 14.
