TVF President Ozkan Mutlugil marks Dragutin Cuk’s retirement

Dragutin Cuk receives a commemorative plaque from Ozkan Mutlugil
Istanbul, Turkey, December 19, 2013 – Serbian referee Dragutin Cuk was presented with a commemorative plaque by Ozkan Mutlugil President of the Turkish Volleyball Federation on completion of his final match before retirement.

Cuk brought the curtain down on a refereeing career that began in 1995 by taking control of a CEV Champions League match between VakifBank Istanbul and Belgian side Gent Dames that took place at the Burhan Felek Volleyball Hall in Istanbul.

Cuk has refereed international volleyball since 2000 and he took part in over 120 matches in Europe and over 40 matches across the world. He served as a referee in the FIVB World League for the last five years and he also refereed in the Men’s Club World Championship this year in Betim, Brazil.

“I am sure I will stay in volleyball,” he said. “I am working as a Technical Director for our Federation and I hope I will meet up with my colleagues in other duties as CEV Supervisor.

“I am very happy that my last match was in Istanbul. I have good memories from the first time seven or eight years ago when I came here for European Championship qualification matches.”
