Regional Development Volleyball Center hosts Level II Coaches Course

 Lausanne, Switzerland, December 4, 2013 – The Regional Development Volleyball Center is currently hosting an International Level II Volleyball Coaches Course in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic.

The instructors are Argelio Hernandez from Cuba and Juan Cartagena from Puerto Rico.

Luis Mejia Oviedo, the President of the Dominican Republic Olympic Committee, attended the opening ceremony along with Dominican Volleyball Federation Vice-President Angel Rivas and Regional Development Center Director Prof. Nelson Jose Ramirez. 

The course focuses on teaching methods, with the participants learning to apply their knowledge to help players get a better understanding of volleyball skills. They also learn how to work with communications tools to facilitate cooperation with their national federations.

Participants from 13 countries are taking part in the course: St. Lucia, St. Vincent and the Grenadines, Costa Rica, Bonaire, Peru, Guatemala, El Salvador, Honduras, Grenada, Brazil, Colombia, Argentina and the Dominican Republic.

The course – the final one of the year for the Regional Development Center – will last for 12 days.
