International Referee Candidate Course concludes in Indonesia

 
The course took place in Indonesia from October 12 to 23

Bogor, Indonesia, October 23, 2013 – The FIVB Development Centre in Sentul-Bogor recently concluded an International Referee Candidate Course.

Course participants were given theoretical and practical training, under the direction of Mr Jaafar Ali Naseed (FIVB Refereeing Commission Member) and Mr Tomoyuki Nishikawa (FIVB Rules of the Game Commission Member).

In all there were 18 participants from 12 countries who took part in the course coming from Argentina, Armenia, Bahrain, India, Iran, Japan, Kuwait, the Netherlands, Qatar, Singapore, Thailand and Indonesia.

The FIVB refereeing courses are in place to keep referees' knowledge and competence of volleyball and beach volleyball rules in line with current trends in the sport.

International Referee Candidate courses and Continental events, as well as refresher courses are held throughout the year. The goal of FIVB is to encourage the development of refereeing skills all over the world.
