Seminar for Physical Education Teachers in Guatemala

Thirty-two teachers are taking part in the seminar in Guatemala
Mazantenango, Guatemala, October 18, 2013 – Thirty-two participants are attending the International Volleyball Seminar for Physical Education Teachers in the city of Manzantenango, Guatemala.

The activity is organized by the Regional Development Center in the Dominican Republic in coordination with the Guatemalan National Federation, and the support of NORCECA Confederation.

The director of the seminar is Ruben Sainz and teachers hail from Costa Rica, Honduras, El Salvador and Guatemala as host country.

The purpose of the seminar is to provide the physical education teachers with the necessary tools to initiate young students in the practice of volleyball and also to instruct them the fundaments of the game.

The agenda of the seminar includes theoretical and practical sessions with the participations of boys and girls from the local schools of Mazantenango.

The opening ceremony was attended by Enrique Santis and Magnolia Escobar, president and general manager of the Guatemala National Federation, respectively, and Lisandra Ramirez, NORCECA Supervisor representing the Regional Development Center in Dominican Republic.
