Level I Coaches Course helping to spread volleyball in Nicaragua

The course took place from July 21 to 25.

Managua, Nicaragua, August 20, 2013 – A Level I Coaches Course was recently organised in Managua under the leadership of FIVB Instructor, Julio Morales.

All 28 participants – who came from different parts of the country – were awarded their certificates after successfully passing their final examination.

"It is always good to see such a high level of success,” said Morales. “It shows the quality of work the participants have done and for me it was an honor to share the experience with them. I was impressed by their desire to learn in order to have more knowledge to help the development of volleyball in Nicaragua.”

Morales was also impressed to find himself working with a group where each and every participant had a strong desire to improve and learn.  He was also hopeful that with the participants coming from so many different areas, that the sport would be taken to more remote areas of the country.

The course aimed to improve not just the technical development of the sport but was also intended to communicate some of the steps needed to help the promotion of volleyball in Nicaragua.

While the course was designed to help participants with teaching volleyball to young beginners, they also had the opportunity to learn some teaching techniques to assist older players.
