2013 FIVB Beach Volleyball World Tour Season Update

 
The men had their first repeat winner of the 2013 season as Phil Dalhausser/Sean Rosenthal of the United States
Lausanne, Switzerland, June 23, 2013 — The fourth double gender Grand Slam event on the 2013 FIVB Beach Volleyball World Tour was held this past week with the US $440,000 smart Grand Slam Rome in Rome, Italy. 

The men had their first repeat winner of the 2013 season as Phil Dalhausser/Sean Rosenthal of the United States defeated Latvia’s Aleksandrs Samoilovs/Janis Smedins of Latvia 21-19 and 21-18 in 44 minutes. It was Dalhausser’s 25th FIVB World Tour victory and the sixth for Rosenthal. 

On the women’s side, Brazil’s Taiana Lima/Talita Antunes won their second consecutive and third overall FIVB World Tour event of the season with a three-set win over Jennifer Kessy/April Ross of the United States, 21-17, 19-21, and 15-12 in 52 minutes. It was Lima’s third FIVB World Tour victory and the 16th for Antunes.
