Tehran, Iran, May 2, 2013 - The Volleyball Federation of Iran (IRI) organised a special coaches’ workshop on training methodology, attracting 135 participants, comprising 35 women and 100 men from across the country. The first-of-its-kind event was conducted by the Training and Research Committee of the Volleyball Federation and was instructed by Julio Velasco, the head coach of the senior men’s team.

Attendees included International Coaching Certificate holders, men’s and women’s national team coaches, U23 men’s team coaches, club teams’ coaches and coaching instructors. The one-day course was divided into two sections – theory and practice – with reception, setting, attack and other main skills reviewed in detail.
