FIVB President reflects on recent visit to Algeria

 
President Graça was in Algeria for four days from December 6 to 9 last year
Lausanne, Switzerland, January 11, 2013 – President Ary S. Graça F° talked about his reasons for going to Algeria, the FIVB’s plans for the country and the importance of the North Africa region in an interview with Algerian newspaper El Watan.

President Graça discussed an FIVB-funded development programme targeting North Africa which aims to use the considerable talent available from the nearby Italian federation to train coaches in Algeria and around the Mediterranean.

He said the youth he met in Algeria were wonderful, and that the conditions there are ripe for identifying, guiding and training young talent.

The FIVB President met with the Algerian minister of youth and sport, and believes that the government’s goals are in line with those of the FIVB.
