Poland's Fijalek and Prudel to continue with coach Martin Olejnak

With Olejnak as coach Fijalek and Prudel hope to qualify for the Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil in 2016
Warsaw, Poland, November 7, 2012 - Grzegorz Fijalek and Mariusz Prudel, Poland's top ranked beach volleyball pair, will be coached by Martin Olejnak for the next four years.

In talks with the Polish Volleyball Federation in November, Olejnak expressed his interest in continuing to work with the Federation. It is expected that Olejnak will also work with other volleyball duos during this time.

This has been welcome news for the team with Fijalek saying, “It is very good to work with Martin. We have full confidence in him and him in us. Our results speak for themselves. He is a coach of the highest quality and we are pleased that we can continue working with him.”

Fijalek, 25, and 26-year-old Prudel, who was named the World Tour's Most Improved Player of 2011, are seen as one of the most exciting pairs on the FIVB World Tour. Their best finish to date is a second place at the 2011 Stare Jablonki Grand Slam, which will be the venue for the 2013 World Championships. They finished fifth at the London 2012 Olympic Games and 15th on the FIVB World Tour rankings this year.
