Kutlwano of Botswana and Autoridade of Mozambique take men’s and women’s gold

Lusaka, Zambia, November 25, 2012 – On Sunday, the Zone 6 Club Championships closed at the Olympic Centre in Lusaka, Zambia with clubs from Botswana taking the women’s gold and the men’s bronze.

In the women’s division, Kutlwano beat NDF of Namibia 3-1 in the final match. The result means Kutlwano have qualified for the African Clubs Cup to be held in Madagascar in 2013. Autoridade Tributarino of Mozambique secured the men's title.

Botswana athletes swept the individual women’s awards:
Most Valuable Player - Tracy Chaba (Kutlwano)
Best Libero - Merapelo Tshekiso (Kutlwano)
Best Setter - Lekedzani Bayi (Kutlwano)
Best Server - Agisanyang Oscar Kurwane (BDF VI)
Best Attacker - Tracy Chaba (Kutlwano)
