FIVB World Grand Prix and World League Final Reports available online

 
The reports can be viewed online or downloaded
Lausanne, Switzerland, November 16, 2012 – The Final Reports of the 2012 FIVB World Grand Prix and World League competitions are now available from the FIVB website at fivb.org.

The reports contain full game-by-game reviews and statistical analyses of the two premiere annual volleyball events for men and women.

In 2012, the World League competition initiated a new format for the Intercontinental Round, in which each team’s 12 matches were organised into four three-day round robins. Each team hosted one of those three-day mini tournaments. In the Finals it was Poland that came out on top for the first time, in front of USA in second place and Cuba in third. The 2012 World Grand Prix saw USA triumph and Brazil finish second, for a third straight year. and for a third straight year Brazil finished second. The big surprise was Turkey, who achieved their first podium finish with a bronze-medal performance in only their second World Grand Prix appearance having finished seventh in 2008.
