IOC Sports Director attends World Tour Council for World Championships and Grand Slams

 
Christophe Dubi was presented with a key to the FIVB by President Dr. Ary S. Graça F° in recognition of his support of volleyball and beach volleyball

Lausanne, Switzerland, November 8, 2012 - IOC Sports Director Christophe Dubi was a special guest at the FIVB Beach Volleyball World Tour Council for World Championships and Grand Slams on Thursday.

Mr Dubi spoke at the opening of the meeting and thanked the FIVB for their outstanding work at the Olympic Games, providing two "extremely successful" events in London.

"The London Olympic Games were a great success and the FIVB contributed significantly to this,” Mr Dubi told the members. “The Olympic Games in London were pitched towards being a Rock n Roll event and the FIVB is in a unique position to be able to cater for this with two outstanding disciplines. On one hand you have beach volleyball which is a perfect fit and on the other, volleyball which can cater for another level of audience.”

Mr Dubi was presented with a key to the FIVB by President Dr. Ary S. Graça F° in recognition to his support of the FIVB and the disciplines of beach volleyball and volleyball at the OIympic Games.
