Team profile

With coach SAKAKUCHI brought in as a coach in 2006, then coaching the women’s junior side, many efforts have been made to promote our woman’s team’s levels and to strengthen them.

Our main goal is to let our young players have a chance to compete with first class teams in Asia and the rest of the world. Players with great potential and the ability to vastly improve the coming years have been selected since coach SAKAKUCHI’s introduction. In addition for the first time the team have had a prolonged amount of time to train. To date the team has successfully entered the FIVB Women’s Championship in 1986 & 2006. The hope continues for a ticket to compete the World Grand Prix 2012.
