Italy's Trentino Diatec Trento came out on top for the third year in
a row in 2011, beating Polish debutants KS Jastrzebski Wegiel in the
final. They are the only team to have won three championships in total,
let alone consecutively.
Originally run from 1991 to 1994, the FIVB Club World Championships
returned for the first time in 17 years in 2009.
