Each official has years of experience and has completed the necessary tests and courses set up by the FIVB.

Biography  

Paulo Turci is a Brazilian referee who started his career in 1984. After attending an international course in 2004 in Atlanta, USA, he became International Referee in 2008. He was assigned to the most important matches of the Brazilian Superleague, including the finals in 2008, 2009 and 2011 and also to other South American competitions (2006, 2007) and the Men's Pan American Cup in 2010. He was also appointed to FIVB events including the Women's Junior World Championship in 2009, the Men's World Cup in 2011, the World League in 2011 and 2012 and the Men's Olympic Qualification Tournament in 2012.
